What We Do About Us The Company Weddings Events Applause FAQ Contact Us Trusted Vendors

What are the benefits of hiring Knot Your Average Event?
This is hard to answer in just one sentence!  Overall, the experience in event coordination is the biggest factor because it ensures success of the event, generally increasing the caliber and quality of the event for you and your guests.   The second reason is the reduction in your personal stress level regarding the event which allows you not only to have more joy and excitement while planning, but also to enjoy the big day more because you know everything is taken care of, no detail amiss.

I am planning a wedding.  How will I save money by hiring a wedding coordinator?
Our expertise and knowledge of the industry, as well as our experience in negotiation with vendors consistently reduces costs.  While we charge either a flat fee or percentage of the total budget, we often pay for ourselves in the savings to you!  Additionally, we often have negotiated discounts with our trusted vendors that only our clients have access to – and our knowledge of the industry ensures that you will never pay above competetive rates for any services when planning your big day.

Why do you publish your wedding pricing on your website as this doesn't seem to be standard in the industry?
We know that your time is valuable – we believe you will see the value in our services and pricing structure and we feel it is to the benefit of the consumer to be aware of our pricing structure immediately!

Do we have to use your vendors?
No.  We believe that the industry throughout Vancouver has a vast number of quality vendors.  We are both happy and excited to work with vendors of your choosing.  We don't accept kickbacks (monetary or otherwise) from any vendor so we can maintain an unbiased relationship with everyone we work with.  That having been said, we know our trusted vendors and often have negotiated discounts with them which may save you some hard earned money!

I'm not sure whether to hire a day of coordinator or full service wedding planner!
This really depends on what level of assistance you require!  If you are interested in doing the bulk of planning yourself and just require some assistance in specific areas to help you ensure no details are missed, and ensure your day runs your way - go with a professional event "day of" coordinator.  If you require someone to assist you with the seeking out, consultation and hiring of vendors, budget creation, and details such as the favors and invitations you definitely would benefit from a full service professional planner.

Either way, you will receive the best value for your dollar by contacting a wedding professional as early as possible because they provide invaluable expert advice along the way!
